Our Evie's Kansas City portrait session (Kansas City Photographer)

This summer our family spent 3 weeks in Kansas City and had the most wonderful time.  We stayed in Brookside and loved every minute of the charm and accessibility of one of KC's best neighborhoods.  We filled our days with trips to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station, The World War 1 Memorial, the KC Zoo...  We took in a Royals game, went to a Journey Concert at Starlight Theatre, hit up some favorite restaurants (La Bodega, Blue Bird Bistro, Heirloom Bakery to name a few).  And we even managed to fit in some grown up fun at The Up/Down Arcade, The Green Lady Lounge, and a special birthday celebration with dear friends at Tiki Cat and Off Key Karaoke.  It was an amazing trip!  After living in Kansas City full time for 7 years in my 20's, the city carved out a permanent spot of love in my heart.  It is true that Midwesterners are friendly people.  Thank you Kansas City for such a hospitable, lovely, memorable summer!  We hope to see you again soon!  This little shoot of our daughter Evie took place on The Country Club Plaza on one of our last mornings in KC.  She is such a fun little model!  We've also enjoyed our past Kansas City weddings and other shoots- check them out here.  Kansas City is like home to us and we are always ready for another visit- so please don't hesitate to reach out about your Kansas City wedding or tell a friend about us!  No travel fees!

2 Days in Paris

This was a quick but enchanted visit to the city of light.  I'm normally terrible about taking pictures when I'm not working.  Something about trying to live in the moment and seeing things first hand and not always through a lens.  But this trip was one fantastic exception.  Having only two whole days, I knew shooting as much as possible would be a must for me to remember it all accurately and have proof for myself it wasn't only a dream.  And oh, dreamy it was...

A few hours in Copenhagen

This summer has been filled with some amazing travel opportunities for Michael and I.  Unfortunately not together, but amazing nonetheless.  Michael traveled to Moscow to visit his mom and then together they visited Iceland.  I traveled to Paris with dear friends Karl and Nanette.  It was my first trip overseas!  (Je suis amoureux!)  En route to Paris, we had a long enough layover in Copenhagen to explore the city for a few hours.  (Actually Michael did too between Moscow and Iceland.)  I'm excited to share photos from Michael's travels as well, but I'm starting here with my first stop in Copenhagen.  Just a quick little glimpse of some of the things I found beautiful and interesting in this dynamic city.  Next up, Paris!
